A beautiful combination of midcentury architecture, Danish modern furnishings, natural materials, and enlarged and updated bathrooms and kitchen make this 1957 ranch the perfect location for a season in Palm Springs or just a great relaxing long weekend. The house sits behind a yard full of mature trees, palms, and a circular driveway. With 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, a large open floor plan, a beautiful private backyard with a pool and spa, and a large family room with billiards table there’s plenty of space and amenities for family and friends.
The open plan layout with 2 living areas, a dining area, and the kitchen means the entire family can hang out together. This space features an original slump stone fireplace rising up to the vaulted open beam ceiling.
There’s a comfortable seating area and a second relaxing area for watching the smart TV. Windows on the front look out to a private courtyard with an outdoor dining area and gas grill. A wall of windows and French doors on the other side of the space look out to the pool and covered outdoor living room.
Just off the kitchen is a large family room which has another fireplace, a seating area with a smart TV, and a billiards table. There’s also a desk should your time away also include some work. There’s a convenient half bath in this part of the home along with the laundry room with a door out to the pool.
The kitchen is equipped for cooking and includes a large work island with beautiful quartz countertops and updated stainless steel appliances including a 5-burner gas range and oven. Adjacent to the kitchen there’s a dining table with seating for six. Just around the corner is a butler’s pantry with additional storage and small appliances.
The primary suite has a queen bed, plenty of closet space, a smart TV, and French doors out to the pool. Its en-suite includes separate vanities, a large soaking tub, and a walk-in glass-enclosed shower with a bench and plenty of room for 2!
Down the hall, there are two guest bedrooms. The first has 2 double beds and the second has a queen bed. Each has its own smart TV and closet and is tastefully decorated with contemporary bold graphic wallpapers. The queen bedroom has direct access to a shared hall bath which includes a large walk-in glass-enclosed shower and commode separated from the large vanity. A clever design which allows two people to get ready in the morning at the same time.
The very private backyard features a 15’ x 32’ pool with a tanning deck and a 6-person above-ground ground hot tub. There’s a large sheltered outdoor living room to get some shade but plenty of chaise lounges for soaking up the sun! If you like to get your game on there’s a basketball hoop in the side driveway.
RULES AND THINGS TO NOTE:
**Pool heat is optional for $30-$80 per day. This fee is not included in the quoted price on some booking platforms and, if not, will be collected after you book.
**Minimum age for every guest is 25 unless accompanied by a parent. No groups larger than 6 (regardless of age) and no parties.
**Palm Springs has strict noise, occupancy, and parking rules, INCLUDING THAT NO MUSIC IS ALLOWED OUTSIDE AT ANY TIME. Violation of these rules will result in a $1000 fine and immediate eviction from the house with no refund.
**This house requires both a $1000 refundable damage deposit and the purchase of additional damage insurance for $79. These fees are not included in the quoted price on some booking platforms and, if not, will be collected after you book.
**On rentals of 28-nights or more renter is responsible for the entire gas and electric bill from check-in to check-out based on meter reads. A $3500 utility deposit will be collected after booking and will be applied to these bills. Any remaining balance will be refunded to you.
**The City of Palm Springs requires an additional written contract which you must sign after you book and requires that you send us a copy of your ID before you check in.

Quiet neighborhood, very close to restaurants and shops. 15 miles (20-25 min) from Indian Wells Tennis Garden. No complaints, house comes with kitchen and all kitchen amenities. Game room is a plus. Overall house is beautiful and clean.

We had a remarkable stay at Sunset Ranch. It is a beautiful, spacious home with expansive backyard space- the pool was perfect. We can’t speak highly enough of our experience- I’ve stayed at many airbnbs, but this home takes the cake. It’s super close the airport and walkable/easy drive to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. We will be dreaming of coming back!

We had a great experience here. There were five of us - my wife and I, our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. The house was clean, comfortable, attractive and well-stocked. We could not have asked for a better house. We would use Altamira again and would stay at this house again.

Sunset Ranch was a wonderful stay for my visit! I opted to pay for the heated pool which was well worth the money, the perfect temperature lended to non-stop pool time! The kitchen is extremely well appointed with various dishes, appliances and coffee machines. All the bedrooms were well thought out, with en suites and plenty of towels. My only tiny recommendation would be that the house only comes with travel size shampoo/conditioner/soap - so if you are staying longer than a couple days keep in mind to bring some with you or purchase upon arrival.

Overall, a beautiful and comfortable home. Everything was meticulously thought out. The hot tub was not working but Altimira was very quick in getting someone to the house to rectify the situation so a 5 for excellent service. Would be happy to stay there again.

We walked in the door & couldn't stop saying WOW! This place is impeccable & tastefully decorated - every detail is stylish and aesthetically pleasing. We planned the trip as a stopping point to discover Joshua Tree and enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi thoroughly after a long day of hiking, with a view of Mt San Jacinto. The bathrooms were well-stocked and spacious, the bedrooms had plenty of storage & very comfortable beds, and the kitchen & living room were great places to hang out. Next time we will stay even longer!

We had a wonderful stay in Palm Springs. The house was exactly like the photos, if not better. We paid extra for the pool to be heated and arrived to find it toasty and ready for us. The house is a mile to downtown, a 5-minute drive to the air museum, and 25 minutes to the Zoo. It was the perfect location for our little weekend getaway. We cooked meals in the kitchen and used the BBQ and had no issues. The bonus room with a pool table was a plus!
We loved our stay at Sunset Ranch! The home was beautiful (loved the two living room spaces) and the game room was a hit with our young girls. The pool was perfect - especially the sand bars. We loved the fully stocked kitchen too! Palm Springs has some pretty strict rules around noise and occupancy, but the team made it all easy to manage. We loved our stay!
