Sunrise Modern

We enjoyed a lovely family holiday at Sunrise Modern in Sunrise Park during Modernism Week. Beds are very comfy. House is practical and suited our needs. Enjoyed playing croquet and cornhole as well as swimming in the pool.

i have visited Palm Springs on several occasions but this one is particular took the cake! Would stay where again in a heartbeat.

The Altamira Vacation team was fantastic to deal with. Always proactive and responsive. We had an unexpected issue that came up one day prior to our arrival and they were super kind and supportive and even offered to move our reservation to a later date without any penalty! We loved the furnishings and decor. The location was super convenient to downtown and uptown. The layout of the house was perfect for our needs. We also enjoyed the simplicity of the landscaping. Kitchen was dry well stocked. Once we were checked in, we felt right at home and did not need to reach out for support at all. We will pick an Altamira Vacation’s listing again with great comfort knowing that they are flexible and accommodating.

Tiffany, the amazing representative from Altamira, made the transaction simple and easy which allowed us to settle in with ease. The house is exactly as described. Great location, quiet neighborhood, sparkling pool. Even on the hottest days (avg. 112/115) the a/c worked great and kept us cool. Has everything you need for a short or long stay- very well equipped!

Beautiful breezy house with lots of mid-century modern charm. Comfortable and inviting. All the kitchen amenities you need. Nice yard, pool and hot tub.

The house is beautiful and exactly as described. Modern, light and airy. Great pool and yard. perfect for a family or three couples.

It was a very comfortable house for 5 of us. We are not crazy partiers so the sound ordinance was not a problem. I might suggest leaving some windex under kitchen sink in case anyone gets sunscreen on a glass door as you said that would cause extra cleaning fees. There is also only one small frying pan that we found to cook on unless you are baking or roasting something. It was nice to have coffee and other basic things to work with while we were there. Thank you.

Sunrise Modern is even more gorgeous in real life than in pictures! It was perfect for our group of six girlfriends to spend a long weekend. The great room is perfect for group socializing. The tanning shelf and benches in the pool are wonderful for lounging. The decor is top notch throughout the whole house. We would return in a heartbeat!

Great house- retro vibe. Large pool made for a fun stay. Altamira was super helpful.

We came with friends for both business and pleasure. The home is beautiful and the pictures are accurate. Please be aware than when you arrive for a summer visit that the air conditioner will not be on and the home will be quite warm. We purchased three box fans and "donated" them to the property when we left. Sleeping was much easier them. :-) The house did cool down in the evenings and it was an enjoyable with a perfect location.

The house was comfortable, cozy, plenty of room, nice flow inside and out. Pool was warm and welcoming. Communication was great.

The house was very clean and comfortable with a cool Palm Springs vibe. On our first day there all 3 of us were working virtually and there was plenty of room to do that and spread out. Enjoyed our stay very much.

The home is a time capsule with all the right updates to enjoy in 2022. The location is perfect and I can't wait to return.

It was a nice house but a bit pricey for the quality. Good location, nice pool. Needs a sun umbrella by outdoor table, new furniture for fire pit, fix windows in bathroom, we couldn’t open them. Make the master bedroom look better by putting away all the cables and cable boxes lying around on a corner ( it looks like a student’s dorm). The bed was comfy. More towels for bathrooms. Nice choice of colors. The faucet just outside where you park on the drive way is a tripping hazard. NeedsLight dimer in bathroom and some hooks so you can hang towels. Sliding door from dinning room to yard needs some fixing and the floor around it. If the rental were cheaper, it wouldn’t matter but for $600+ a night every detail should count. ( I’ve been renting places in PS since 1999, always like to try new houses and go back to the ones i loved) And i really appreciate we were able to check out later. Chec out time at 10am is too early when you are on vacation and want to relax and sleep in. I would change that. Most houses I stayed checkout is 11 or noon. You should give one more option in the “ would you recommend this property to a friend”. The answer for me is “maybe” so i wrote No but that’s not exactly how i feel about the house. Let’s say i was not blown away by the property. It has potential though. What the use of the long side yard?. It needs some fengshui

Lovely vacation home with mid century modern decor. Beautiful pool and spa and great location only minutes from downtown Palm Springs! We can’t wait to visit again!

Is this house for sale? We have never felt more at home at an AirBNB than we did here. Just the whole Palm Springs vibe was on point. Everything was well appointed and we had everything we needed. The backyard oasis was amazing and well maintained. Thank you!

We enjoyed our week-long stay in this property. The pool and hot tub are 100% as advertised, as was most everything else, although there were a few minor issues.

Like most Palm Springs homes, you are right up against other homes but high walls and bushes make it super private. Quiet, and great location near town. My husband and I loved sprawling out, but it’s also very cozy. Perfect for one or two couples or 4-6 people.

This property is a beautiful example of mid-century modern. It's also tastefully furnished. The issue is that it needs some work. The AC is extremely loud, parts of the walls have water damage, the area around the outdoor fireplace has stains and is dirty (we also saw some old gum stuck on the ground by the pool), the kitchen sink gets clogged often and this place has the worst trash can (it topples over when you push the pedal down with your feet). We found the inside of the house very clean but the outdoors had dead bugs and the other issues I mentioned earlier. Regardless it's a beautiful space architecturally if you can look past these smaller issues.

Everything about this booking experience was great from beginning to end! The property was beautiful and well designed. The layout was great for two Small families and to pool was so functional - I loved the outdoor space and the big windows! On top of that, the house had everything you could need in the kitchen and the service from Altamira was great - so responsive and easy to work with. The location of the house was great- close to the airport, close to downtown, close to a few grocery stores! You couldn’t ask for more than all this!

It was wonderful to have a heated pool and spa. Sunrise Modern is a very comfortable home to relax in. We were a short drive to town on a quiet side street. Plenty of yard space for a little one to play as well as lawn games and pool toys to use. There are good take out places and restaurants nearby as well as grocery stores. We ate in a good bit. Only a few glitches- we were given the wrong entry code, grill had to be lit with matches, ice maker wasn't working, oven door wouldn't close tight- easily fixed.

We did a last minute 3 night trip to visit with our daughter from LA. We were greeted by a very friendly property manager named Nikki. She answered all of our questions, and showed us around. The house was great, clean, and nicely outfitted. We easily made several meals with all of the tools necessary. We had one glitch with the TV, and Nikki was there within 10 minutes to fix the problem. (It was Super Bowl Sunday, so we appreciated the prompt response!)
So, everything was great, and we would come back again!

Sunrise Modern is a nicely decorated MCM home. Quiet neighborhood and good location. The home is clean and bedding and towels are of good quality. The furniture is new and the design fits home well.
My only complaint about the home is that the shower in both bathrooms needs updating. The tub/shower did not drain. I requested service for it, and management came by with a bottle of drain cleaning chemical that did nothing. The bathroom drain needed professional attention. Standing in 5" of drain-water in a tub is very unpleasant when showering. The house looses some shine having this issue. Other than that we had a good stay. The home is nicely appointed. Would consider renting again from Altamira but would want confirmation on plumbing issues before renting.

Beautiful and spacious house, very well decorated. Great amenities and the location is just perfect for restaurants or grocery shopping. Amazing outside space, pool and spa are top-notch. Very quiet. Will definitely stay again!

It was so much fun staying at the Sunrise Modern home! It was one of the best vacations my husband and I ever had! We really didn't want to leave and for the most part spent most of our vacation time at Sunrise. I would highly recommend this property. I plan of coming back.

As nice a home as we have rented!

I rented the Sunrise Modern for a 30 year reunion girls trip to Palm Springs. I can’t say enough great things about this gem of a home. It Meiselman style it is light and bright, perfectly decorated and very well appointed. We spent relaxing afternoons by the pool and spent most dinners out. We had everything we needed right down to the bar cart. To top it off, we loved Moe when he popped by for our meet and greet...he was so friendly and helpful. I would definitely rent the home again.

The perfect place to stay in Palm Springs. Check-in was easy, and the property was in excellent condition. Can't wait to come back!

All around amazing experience!!

This was a perfect home for our girls trip! The home itself was comfortable and had lots of space for us. They had all the amenities for us to stay in and cook and the pool was perfect to hang out. Would definitely stay here again.

After a long drive from the Bay Area, my family and I arrived for our week long vacation in the sun and were so pleased to have arrived at this beautiful home. The property is in close proximity to town and the airport and in a quiet neighborhood. It was exactly what our family of four was looking for the week.

When we arrived, we were met by James who was doing his final pass thru of the home, and everything was beyond perfect. All that we could have ever wanted or needed to enjoy our stay, was provided. They thought of everything, from the coffee bean grinder, to brand new bath & pool towels, to new, comfortable bedding and a binder filled with recommendations for the area. Everything in the home is new, fresh, and gleaming. They had several family games that we were able to play on the lawn (bocce, croquet), and there were also pool floats that made lounging on the pool that much more relaxing. The management team throughout the rental process and stay were responsive and timely, if we had any questions or concerns.

The kitchen central to the home, open to the living and dining areas, as well as providing a line of sight out to the pool, which is helpful when watching kids. I liked that the master bedroom was down the hall from the other two bedrooms, great for families vacationing together. The master bath and closet were very spacious, light and bright, as was the rest of the house. Each of the three bedrooms have access to the outdoors which makes you feel like you are truly experiencing indoor and outdoor living.

One recommendation I have is that if you are sensitive to light, bring an eye mask, as the beautiful clerestory windows do let light in during the early morning hours.

The Sunrise Modern/Meiselman house is stunning to walk thru, let alone stay in for a week. As a fan of midcentury architecture, staying here was a dream. Thank you, we will be back!
