Palmera - Paradise Found

There were four of us, all senior citizens, one with Parkinson's Disease, taking advantage of this location. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor backyard patio, covered areas as well as the swimming pool. The following comment is to address access in/out of the pool which is by stairs only. There is no handrail that our one friend could use to enter/exit the pool and had to rely on someone for his safety. The inside rooms were well appointed and we loved having the Keurig machine (it got replaced as the one we found on day 1 was inoperable) to make easy cups of coffee for 4 people on the go at different times. Well stocked kitchen. (Again, following comment applies to us: we did not care for the shag rug under the kitchen table as it was a tripping hazard for seniors but likely won't affect other guests). We had some issues with plumbing and the Altamira Rental folks were stellar in trying to address our issues and for the most part, they succeeded. The location of the property in a quiet Neighbourhood was so relaxing. We could walk to different locations/stores and even walked into downtown Palm Springs on a few occasions during our 18 day stay. The only real complaint we have is that the TV service (Direct TV I believe) was pretty pathetic in that we only received about six channels that were of interest to us - way too many shopping channels and other irrelevant content. A better subscription to another provider is warranted. We truly did enjoy our stay at Palmera!

Beautiful location and vistas. Backyard and pool area great, outdoor kitchen a wonderful plus. House very nice, kitchen very good. Very minor issues were dealt with quickly and cheerfully.

The home was exactly as described. Plus, when I had a question, the management company answered the phone on Sunday. It was a great experience.

We chose this property because of the pool & variety of outdoor spaces in which to relax- we used all of them. Every.Single.Day. No disappointments there and one of us even swam circular "laps" for exercise. Recommend the pool heating in Nov- it was essential. The pool & palm tree lights were so cozy during our evening time in the hot tub. Fireplaces (in & out) saw good use. Be aware, this time of year, the house falls into the mountain shadow quite early in the day (2:30-3p) but gets glorious sun for morning coffee outside. Convenient location within town, felt safe out walking/running, quiet neighborhood. Home could use just a few minor touch ups here & there to be closer to pristine (e.g. shower grout) but it was clean and perfectly fine. We did find the 2nd bath (grey in the pics) to be much smaller & darker than appeared in photos- not easy to navigate for the 2 grandparents in our group. There were a lot of throw rugs which we also found to be a bit of a tripping hazard, maybe that's just us. These are minor in the big picture. Master views of the mountains and palms was a treat! The house was wonderful indoor-outdoor living. Can't say enough about the communication w/ Lars and Jessie at Altamira who were gracious in letting us know ahead of time about an oven issue and helping with a mid-stay issue that arose. Total pros and that sort of service & attention to detail is priceless. We would rent this same house again & would stick w/ Altamira properties in general w/ good confidence.

Paradise Found was the perfect home for a long weekend getaway. The property is Palm Springs mid century modern at its finest. The circular pool is so unique and the perfect temperature to cool off in the summer heat. There are rafts and umbrellas and plenty of lounge chairs and big nice beach towels. There’s even a bathroom off one of the rooms for pool access. We all thought the rooms were tastefully decorated with the Palm Springs vibe and the beds were super comfy. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and serving dishes (they had tons of spices!). They have plenty of wine glasses, champagne flutes, a cocktail shaker and a blender to make cocktails. We made plenty of craft cocktails and even utilized the grapefruits from their trees!!! We loved the location for its quiet streets for morning walks. The house is also close to many amazing restaurants and there’s a convenient/liquor store a block away if you forget anything. There are hiking trails nearby as well. The three bedrooms make it perfect for 3 couples to enjoy a relaxing vacation. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

You couldn’t ask for a better host; everything was exactly as communicated/promised. This home is wonderful! The backyard is gorgeous and the inside of the home has been thoughtfully decorated and is quite comfortable. The neighborhood is lovely for walks and is in close proximity to the downtown area, but far enough away that you can enjoy quiet evenings away from the noise. Truly an oasis in the desert!

A very lovely vacation home. Has everything you need to relax and enjoy. Kitchen is well stocked. Beds are comfortable. Three bathrooms was a total bonus. House was very clean. The pool and spa and entire outdoor area are great. The spa heats very quickly - which was nice since the weather was iffy for the first couple days. Altimira was very responsive to our questions. The neighborhood is quiet but close to everything in Palm Springs.

Perfect for a city getaway. The home was very well appointed for our cooking/grilling needs, very clean, the pool and hot tub worked perfectly, we really enjoyed our stay top to bottom and would definitely stay here again. The only unfortunate part is that there is a noise ordinance in the city and it is abundantly clear you cannot play ANY music at any volume outside at any time. It is not specific to the house, just the city. Other than that, which the house cannot control, it was truly perfect. Thank you to management for making our stay warm and welcoming!

This mid-century modern house is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood. Great outdoor space. Spacious and comfortable bedrooms.

We had a very nice relaxing stay. Pool was great and 6’ deep in the middle. Sides a little rough but we just kept our feet up. Inside is very nice Second master does not have a door only a curtain bit rooms are on opposite sides of the house.

This House ist just wonderful! Spacious, elegant, very well maintained.
The Pool area is great and you will find through the day always a shadow spot.

The house and backyard were a true paradise. Clean and modern living and truly relaxing backyard. The check-in process is a little challenging when you are trying to enjoy your vacation but have to coordinate to meet in person with rental company during office hours.

We enjoyed 4 nights in the spacious home with great pool.

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay at the Palmera residents, pool was great, house was well equipped with all living essentials, dishes etc. Excellent BBQ area. My only complaint is that the carpets in the house were not very clean, the pool furniture/couches/loungers were all very dirty and very well used. And some of the outdoor spaces needed some TLC. For the price we paid we expected something a little more top shelf.

The location was great. It was an easy drive to all local attractions. Or an inexpensive Uber ride.
We had some hot water issues and they sent a repairman to the house within an hour of our call. Very good customer service.

Our group of four had a great time in this home! Clean and fun. Outside pool and hot tub area are awesome (though the pics do make the pool look a little bit bigger than it actually is). Kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfy. Be aware that one bedroom doesn't have an actual door but a sliding curtain but, for us, that didn't matter at all. Would def stay here again. Location was great!!

A 50th bday getaway with myself and three friends. Other than the pictures on the listing making everything look much more spacious than it actually was, (camera trickery! :-) ) and an umbrella not working, Everything was just perfect!

It was honestly amazing ! We booked it last min same day check in everything went so smooth. House lay out is great for couple friends to hang out! We loved it definitely recommend ! We were kinda careful with noise but wasnt that crazy how they explained in the rules ! Cause we were scared before we go what if we can not talk outside lol
Only thing honestly bothered us is Master bedroom mattress was stone rock. I dont even think it was a mattress:(

This is a wonderful home in a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood. We spent 8 wonderful days, and would highly recommend this home for your vacation friends or family. It is well equipped with great appliances

The house and yard were a vacation in itself. Totally private indoor and outdoor living. Great pool, hot tub and outside living room. Too bad the city ordinance doesnt allow the tv to be on.

Lovely property with beautiful interior and fantastic pool area. It was hot so I spent most of my time in or by the pool and it was wonderful. I especially love the beautiful Palmelo(?) trees that shade the pool during the day. Outdoor furniture was very comfortable and plenty of shaded area around the pool when you need a break from the sun.

The kitchen was a nice size and was stocked with everything we needed in terms of china, glasses, bowls, and utensils. Top notch appliances and very easy to keep clean.

The location is great - not too far from a pretty good mexican restaurant, and a liquor store and a Ralph's (5 minute drive). Otherwise, just a short drive into the downtown area.

The rental property was beautiful and the hosts were very responsive. Two thumbs up!

We had a great stay at this house. The house was very nice and well stocked with all the items needed for a comfortable stay. The house was clean and in great condition. The outdoor space with pool and hot tub were wonderful and made this rental perfect for our vacation. We had a great time and will definitely consider staying at this house in the future. Altamira staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. They were responsive and easy to work with.
