A stay at this adorable 3br/2ba midcentury home is a charming trip back in time. The home was designed by iconic Palm Springs architects Donald Wexler and Richard Harrison. El Rancho Vista Estates was the first residential subdivision work they did for developer Roy Fey. Although entirely updated, El Rancho Vista still maintains the clean-lines, open layout, and accentuated indoor-outdoor living Wexler and Harrison originally designed in 1961.

Paramount to any Palm Springs vacation is a fabulous backyard, and this home does not disappoint. A full privacy ficus, meticulously managed landscaping, fruit trees, a fire-pit, outdoor kitchen and dining set for 8, a minibar, an enormous crystal blue pool with a tanning shelf, and a spa are just some of the highlights of this home’s outdoor offerings.

Inside, a well-appointed and intelligently designed kitchen with high-end stainless appliances is adjacent to a dining area with seating for 6. The kitchen and dining area enjoy plenty of natural light from the south-facing sliding glass door which opens to a quaint front patio and provides gorgeous mountain views for cooks and dinner guests alike. The living space provides both entertainment and ambiance, with a sleek sectional and 55" smart TV. The space is smartly decorated to fit the era and brightly lit by floor-to-ceiling glass that opens to the backyard.

The large primary suite with en-suite bath is both carefully refinished and beautifully decorated. The room features a plush king-size bed, large closet, and 42" smart TV. The room’s sliding glass door opens to the pool courtyard, as does a bathroom door for easy after-swim showers.

The home has two additional tastefully decorated guest rooms, each with a queen bed, 42" & 32" smart TV's, and ample closet space. One of the guest bedrooms has a sliding glass door that opens to a private patio alongside the house where there are citrus trees and some views of the San Jacinto mountains. The guest rooms share a fully modernized bathroom with a step-in, glass-enclosed shower.

Additional Notes: WiFi, Smart TVs, Carport. Due to its location this property experiences some road noise, as the back of the home is situated near an intersection. This property is best suited for guests accustomed to the sounds of the city at night.

RULES AND THINGS TO NOTE:
**Pool and spa heat are optional for $30-$60 per day. This fee is not included in the quoted price on some booking platforms and, if not, will be collected after you book.
**Minimum age for every guest is 25 unless accompanied by a parent. No groups larger than 6 (regardless of age) and no parties.
**Palm Springs has strict noise, occupancy, and parking rules, INCLUDING THAT NO MUSIC IS ALLOWED OUTSIDE AT ANY TIME. Violation of these rules will result in a $1000 fine and immediate eviction from the house with no refund.
**This house requires both a $750 refundable damage deposit and the purchase of additional damage insurance for $59. These fees are not included in the quoted price on some booking platforms and, if not, will be collected after you book.
**On rentals of 28-nights or more renter is responsible for the entire gas and electric bill from check-in to check-out based on meter reads. A $2500 utility deposit will be collected after booking and will be applied to these bills. Any remaining balance will be refunded to you.
**The City of Palm Springs requires an additional written contract which you must sign after you book and requires that you send us a copy of your ID before you check in.
**This house is dog-friendly (2 max) with prior approval and payment of an additional pet fee. No other animals allowed.

We spent a long weekend at this property and really enjoyed our stay. As a previous reviewer noted, there are a lot of rules to follow and that seems a little restrictive when you are on vacation to have so many rules. We decided to give it a try and the rules were pretty easy to follow and didn't hamper our enjoyment of the property. The home was clean and well decorated. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, pots & pans, small appliances. The large appliances in the kitchen were very nice and updated. The bedrooms were nice with comfortable beds and TVs in each. There are two bathrooms - main and master bath. The binder on the kitchen table was helpful - procedure for checkout; reminder on the house rules; directions for adjusting thermostat, lighting the firepit, accessing the washer and dryer closet, lighting the pool and spa, etc; phone numbers to call if questions/concerns; and suggestions for places/restaurants to visit in the area. The backyard was amazing with beautiful pool, spa, gas firepit, lovely trees and grassy areas, and very private. We appreciated being able to bring our small dog. We felt very safe in this home and neighborhood.

The house is clean and beautiful. Loved the neighborhood as a whole. We were so thankful to have Lars assisting us throughout our stay. He was extremely helpful, and funny!

I came here with my family for a weekend getaway and we absolutely loved our stay! The house was somehow even better than the photos, especially the yard with those mountain views! Check-in and communication were seamless and the team was very friendly - we will definitely be back!!
